Our shop engine was written with the amazing Grails web development framework.
To provide the best performance and stability, Shoopz uses only robust and proven open-source technologies like Apache Tomcat, MySQL, and Gentoo Linux.
Shoopz founder and lead developer is Jean-Noël Rivasseau, who graduated in 2005 with a M.Sc. in Computer Science from the University of British Columbia (Vancouver, Canada). He's also an alumnus of the Ecole Polytechnique in France.
A passionate open-source programmer, he formerly worked with FastBooking, a web startup specialized in online hotel bookings. Jean-Noël is a developer on the Gentoo Linux distribution (Java team), and is always on the lookout for new exciting web technology.
